Remarks: | This packet was not part of the original BNLS documentation, however it was necessary to add it because it can be seen on some BNLS software including BNLSWarden. The packet was created to warn users that their IP address has been restricted temporarily, and that they should reconnect later. However, some servers have been seen using this packet for other purposes.
The given message is a normal string except that it lacks a null-terminator, therefore for the lack of a length-descriptor and/or null-terminator, it has been given the VOID data type instead of STRING. To get the full length of the message, use the packet's length-descriptor in the header then subtract four (4) from that.
When BNLSWarden sends you this, you will also be disconnected from the server. On all BNLS software implementing this packet, the server usually will send this to you immediately after you connect. There is no way to trigger this packet specifically.
In all cases, this packet can be disregarded (or left unrecognized), since the server will still operate normally as it would without the packet, even if you do not recognize or make use of this packet. |
